Emanuela Ponzano

Born in Brussels, Emanuela is an international actress in both cinema and theatre. She divides her time working mainly between Brussels, Paris, London and Rome. In 1995, having completed her degree in Political Science at the ULB in Brussels, Emanuela decided to dedicate herself completely to Theatre and Film.

She considers herself as a European actress and loves to work in different countries with different languages and native artists and directors. Her recent work includes feature film ‘La Jalousie’ directed by Philippe Garrel which was screened at the 70th Venice Film Festival. Here in the UK, she has wrapped on feature film ‘The Moon and The Stars’ by John Irvin where she acted opposite Alfred Molina, Jonathan Pryce and Catherine McCormack and recently she played in London MEDEA in ‘Thessalus & Medea’ by Jan Hendrick Verstraten and won three international awards for her leading role. From 2008 she also directed three short films ‘Bagnasciuga’, ‘Reflections’ and ‘The Sled’ that have since been shown at many national and international festivals.The last one ‘La Slitta’ aka ‘The Sled’, after 110 selections and 40 Awards has been qualified for the 90th Oscar race.
